Publishing Intentions for 2026

As is sort-of tradition by now, I like to take a little time on January 1st to list out my INTENTIONS for the coming year. Not goals. Not resolutions. Those both sound WAY too scary to me, I’m not going to lie.
But my publishing INTENTIONS for 2026 are as follows:
February 12 – CurseBound (WarBride: Book 3)
March 12 – SoulFire (WarBride: Book 4)
April 10 – A Spot of Tea and Sorcery: volume 1
May 10 – A Spot of Tea and Sorcery: volume 2
June 10 – A Spot of Tea and Sorcery: volume 3
July 10 – A Spot of Tea and Sorcery: volume 4
August 10 – A Spot of Tea and Sorcery: volume 5
November 11 – The Last Dragon Queen (The Dragon Queen Duology: Book 2)
This isn’t ACTUALLY as crazy as it sounds, because I’ve already WRITTEN 5 of those eight books. (What do you think I’ve been doing this whole last year???)
The first of these I wrote is the sequel to The Seventh Champion, which has been officially titled The Last Dragon Queen.

Charlie Bowater cover in development! But you can get a little tiny sneaky-peek here. It’s so gorgeous—better even than book 1 (if such a thing is possible!)
Though it was written before any of the rest of these, it will be my final release in November 2026.
It also comes with a six-month blackout window, during which I am contractually NOT PERMITTED to publish any competitive works for three months leading up to the release and three months after.
I’m in the midst of another such blackout window right now, which opens up in mid-February. Which means, all SEVEN of my other planned releases will have to launch in that little window between! It’s going to be a bit of ride.

The first two to come out will be CurseBound and SoulFire (WarBride: Books 3 and 4).
These will bring my WarBride series to completion in a spectacular back-to-back finale! Book 3 is launching February 12, and book 4 will follow soon after on March 12.
These books are both written, preorders are up, and I am spending next week plugging in final edits and formatting . . . so they are DEFINITELY happening!
Following the end of WarBride however, we are pivoting into all new territory . . .

That’s right – I’m hoping between April and August (right up to the start of my next blackout window!) to launch the entirety of my cozy serial, A Spot of Tea and Sorcery.
This serialization is made up of FIVE shorter novels, between 60-70K words each. (Akin to the size of The Venatrix Chronicles, if you’ve been following me that long.)
The first two volumes are already written, and the next three have EXCRUTIATINGLY detailed outlines. So I don’t expect them to take long to complete.
These are my first foray into the cozy romantasy genre.
Have I read-up on and studied the cozy romantasy genre as it currently stands?
No.
Have I any idea what readers expectations are for this particular genre?
Nope.
Have I carefully crafted and curated a story which I believe will absolutely hit the nail on the head for my target reading audience?
Nuh uh.
Have I, however, created a story that is absolutely EVERYTHING I love in a slow-burn, yearning-fueled, completely adorable, warm-winter-sweater-hug of a book?
1000x YES.
Seriously, I love this story so much. The ROMANCE. The YEARNING. The SQUEE. The ADORABLE MOMENTS. Every. Single. Scene. It is such a pure delight to write.
Will it be your cup of tea?
I honestly have no idea. (But . . . I think it could be?)
I hope to have the preorder for book 1 up soon, but am dealing with some behind-the-scenes technicalities before I can do that. Still, keep your eyes open for it! And the cover designs are happening in February, so I’ll be revealing those soon too. The artist I’ve found is amazing, and I CANNOT wait to see how these turn out!!!
So if you think you’ll enjoy watching a former Dark Sorcerer fall in love with his shop assistant and have NO IDEA WHAT TO DO ABOUT IT . . . keep your eye out for A Spot of Tea and Sorcery.
Book 1 coming April 10th . . . if all goes according to plan.
(Which . . . omg, we shall see!!!)
So those are my publishing INTENTIONS, dear readers. Something tells me it won't all run smoothly, and I've got some surprises in store. But my HOPE is that 2026 will be a year of MANY stories and MUCH writing and hopefully some beauty and goodness added to the world.

Hey Sylvia! Will you have original covers paperbacks for Book 3 and 4 of the Warbride series? I didn't see anything on Etsy or Amazon.
